Hawaii Commitment Ceremonies

Posted by Glory H. on Jun 27, 2019 3:15:00 PM

Whether you're looking to recommit to your spouse, want a wedding day do-over, or simply want a personalized alternative to a legal wedding, a Hawaii commitment ceremony provides you the opportunity to affirm your relationship on your terms.

What is a Hawaii Commitment Ceremony?

A commitment ceremony is similar to a wedding in that it is a public declaration of love and dedication made between two people. The ceremony is a special event -- one that is often held in an inspiring location like Hawaii 😉 -- and the guest list usually includes the people who mean the most to you.

When it comes to destination weddings, there are a lot of places you could go. We're a little biased, but there aren't a lot of people who'd argue against a Hawaii destination wedding or vow renewal. It has everything you could want: natural beauty, friendly people, tons to do, and world-class cuisine, and we know the best places to get married in Hawaii. Hawaii truly is paradise.

Your wedding photos will be amazing!

Why Have a Destination Wedding in Hawaii?

There are several reasons we believe Hawaii is the best spot for a destination wedding. Here are the top reasons we hear from our couples:

1. Amazing Hawaii Wedding Photos!

Picture yourself in wedding attire on one of the world's best beaches. Your cameraman is shooting away, and your videographer has the tape rolling. It's a postcard moment, and you look amazing. Everything from the comforting breeze to your fresh Hawaiian bouquet is perfect.

Maybe you're eloping in Hawaii, and it's just the two of you. Maybe you've brought a large wedding party. Either way, you're in one of the most beautiful spots on earth, and you're going to have the photos to remember it for the rest of your life.

Getting Around Oahu

Posted by Glory H. on Jan 31, 2019 9:11:00 AM

One of the most common questions we get from couples when making their travel plans is whether they should get a rental car or not. It’s an added expense, after all, and it’s good to know what other options are out there, especially if you're trying to have an affordable destination wedding.

Everyone is different. Some people like to hang out at the hotel, while others like to get out and explore. While there's never a one-size-fits-all answer, we like to provide as much information as possible to our couples and their guests.

In this article, I’ll try to cover all the transportation options available to get around Oahu.

Walking

If you don't mind walking, you can get to a lot of places in Waikiki. From end to end, it’s about a 30-minute walk down Kalakaua Avenue, the main street loaded with shopping, restaurants, and hotels.

Five Regrets Couples Have from Their Hawaii Wedding Day

Posted by Rachel H. on Jan 17, 2019 8:15:00 AM

There are certain moments in your life that you only get once. Your wedding day is definitely one of them. All couples do their best to plan ahead and make sure their day includes everything they want. However, hindsight can truly be 20/20.

Here are the top five regrets couples have from their wedding. Hopefully this helps you plan accordingly for your big day!

5. Wearing the Wrong Shoes

Select shoes so you’ll be comfortable! Gentlemen, if you are getting new shoes, make sure to break them in beforehand. Ladies, high heels may look great with your beach wedding dress, but they are dangerous in the sand! Or the lava rocks at some of our wedding locations. Not great places to wear heels.

Have Guests Coming to Your Hawaii Wedding? Read This!

Posted by Glory H. on Dec 13, 2018 8:32:00 AM

If you’re eloping in Hawaii all you have to worry about is the two of you. You can relax and enjoy yourselves knowing our team will have everything in place for your special day.

If you have guests, on the other hand, you'll need to share with them information to help your day go as smoothly as possible.

Here are some of our most important tips to share with your guests.

1. Be on Time!

We can’t stress the importance of this enough. Your ceremony team is scheduled for a set time, and the last thing we want is for you to feel rushed!

Your ceremony team will arrive early and be ready to meet you and your guests at the meeting point. If your ceremony time is 12:00pm, for example, ideally you’d be set up and ready to go at that time. It’s a good idea to tell your guests they should arrive by 11:45am.
